Sarah Prosper (she/her), is a Mi’kmaq multidisciplinary movement artist born and raised in Eskasoni First Nation. She also works as a Land-Based Education Coordinator for the Howl Experience, drawing on her BSc in Therapeutic Recreation and current Masters studies in Leisure.

In 2025, Sarah was awarded Canada’s King Charles III’s Coronation Medal. Her work has been recognized by the Nova Scotia Legislature (Honourable Lisa Lachance, 2023) and with the 2022 Nova Scotia Indigenous Artist Recognition Award. She is an Outstanding Performance Merritt Award winner (2022/2023/2024) for her production SAMQWAN, MIMKEJ, and has received co-creation production awards and nominations in Theatre, Choreography, and Productions in Nova Scotia/Mi’kma’ki.

Sarah is passionate about creating and expressing within her community. Her practice deepens the connection between dance, movement, Indigenous wellness, social sciences, social justice, mental health, and the land, always emphasizing respect and reciprocity.
