Known internationally as ‘Lady C’, she is a leader in street dance culture and a four-time DORA Award winner including Outstanding Original Choreography and Outstanding Performance by an Individual (Dance) for CYMATIX. This work creates a deeply immersive experience, intertwining recorded and live vocal performance heightening the connection between body and sound.
We Draw the Line – 10 Gates Dancing’s inaugural creation under the new leadership team is a bold and visceral theatre work that navigates the shifting edges of power, intimacy, and resistance. Featuring five diverse street dancers, the project led by choreographers Crazy Smooth and Saxon Fraser will explore what it means to set, blur, and break boundaries within ourselves, in our relationships, and in the systems that shape us.
Through intricate musicality, physical storytelling, and raw emotionality, the dancers trace the invisible lines we draw and redraw to protect, to connect, to survive. We Draw the Line explores the art of confrontation and the vulnerability of negotiation.
PROGRAM TWO

Saturday, July 19 – 7:30pm
Tethered – A searing duet choreographed by Jera Wolfe, one of this county’s leading choreographers. He dances the work with Miyeko Ferguson, an exquisite dancer in her own right. The work explores the intimacy and synchronicities that develop over the course of an enduring partnership.
Jumelle(s) – The premiere of an intriguing duet exploring flexibility and adaptability created and performed by the stellar Marrin Jessome (Halifax) and Brayden Jamil Cairns (Toronto). Brayden is a longtime artist with Rock Bottom Movement and currently also a member of Toronto Dance Theatre’s 2024-2025 Company Ensemble.
After Godot – The festival presents the revival of Randy Glynn’s acclaimed Canadian Modern Dance classic. This powerful and poignant work is based on Samuel Becket’s 1953 tragiccomedy. “…all the pain, humour, desperation, and loneliness …of Beckett have been translated here into movement of powerful legibility.” The Toronto Star, 1986.
