Simik Komaksiutiksak is a two spirit Inuk artist from Rankin Inlet, Nunavut. Their passion for dance emerged at an early age and later gravitating towards dance and circus arts. Simik is a contemporary dancer and circus artist. Simik has travelled to over 40 countries performing as a dancer and circus artist on AIDA cruises. A few of Simik’s show Highlights include: Sept moment du Joie video show with Cirque Éloize, dancing for Taboo from the Black Eyed Peas at the North American Indigenous Games, Sky Dancers tour with A’nó:wara Dance Theatre. Simik is also seen on APTN in the tv series PULSE. Simik now works for the Arctic Rose Foundation as a guest artist where they teach Inuit and indigenous youth dance expression and creative arts.
