Circus Artist / Choreographer
Leah Skerry is a Halifax-based circus artist, producer and entrepreneur. Her work depicts her fascination with technology, illusions, and gamification. Leah studied contemporary circus arts in Chicago and in Montreal with world renowned circus artist Victor Fomine. Prior to pursuing performing arts professionally in those two cities, Leah co-founded Squiggle Park – an adaptive reading game which helps millions of children learn to read (Acquired in 2021). She is an Entrepreneur in Residence at Saint Mary’s University (Halifax) and a mentor and associate with Creative Destruction Lab (Rowe School of Business, Dalhousie University). Leah has been named one of 21 Emerging Leaders of Nova Scotia which recognizes young professionals who are champions in areas which include technology, business, government, entrepreneurship and community groups.
